What this study does
The study combines radiometric constraints, tephrochronology, stratigraphic information and alignment/tuning approaches within an age-depth framework for the Acıgöl core, and evaluates environmental changes using sedimentary and palynological evidence.
Main finding
The chronology places the analysed sequence across multiple glacial–interglacial cycles (MIS 1–12 and part of MIS 13), providing the temporal framework needed for quantitative and multiproxy palaeoclimate analysis of the basin.
